IMPROVE HOW YOU MOVE
Dr. Taylor uses an integrative approach to treating your orthopedic needs. Prior to becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy, he graduated from LSU with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre (2010) and was a professional physical theatre artist who toured both nationally and internationally with the Lightwire Theatre Company. Through years of studying and refining how the body moves from an artistic perspective, Dr. Taylor grew to understand that art and science share an inseparable relationship. He then went back to school to further this understanding at UNO with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Public Health (2018), and ultimately graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern University as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (2022).
After gaining years of experience rehabilitating patients from all walks of life in the greater New Orleans area, Dr. Taylor has launched his own private cash-pay physical therapy practice. TBM Therapeutics has been his vision since the early days of PT school: a unique fusion of traditional physical therapy practice influenced by his artistic background, and holistic and integrative health principles. Dr. Taylor is proud to be able introduce his patients to the untapped potential of what a physical therapy session has to offer.
Dr. Taylor holds post-doctoral advanced practice training in the performance of Dry Needling and Spinal Manipulation (American Academy of Manipulative Therapy), Integrative and Lifestyle Medicine (Integrative Pain Science Institute), and Holistic and Integrative Health (LSU-Shreveport/Allegra) techniques. He is a proud member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Organization of Arts in Health. When not in the clinic, he enjoys spending as much time as possible out in the beautiful South Louisiana nature with his wife, Rebecca, their son Lucas and twin girls Frankie and Evie.
TBM Therapeutics is a private, cash-pay physical therapy clinic that offers its patients the ability to have more control over the type, duration, and frequency of physical rehabilitation treatments. A typical outpatient insurance-based clinic often has to sacrifice true patient-centered care for the harsh realities of what your plan actually pays for, and how many patients they can see per hour. TBM Therapeutics offers you a completely different model - your health, your decision, your results.
All patients are seen one-on-one, and start with an initial evaluation and treatment session to assess your therapeutic and rehabilitative needs. From there, you and our Doctor of Physical Therapy determine the best fitting plan of care based on your evaluation results.
Direct access to physical therapy services in the state of Louisiana was enacted in 2016. No physician referral is needed for us to begin treating you; however, let us know if you are currently under the medical supervision of a physician office. It is important for all providers to keep a flow of communication for your health needs.
